About
Christian Abreu is the founder of the Double Bass Workshop, a local teaching artist and is a board member of the Tampa Metropolitan Youth Orchestra. He serves as a substitute bassist with The Florida Orchestra and can be seen performing among Florida's preeminent art institutions.
Christian has performed with Andrea Bocelli, Itzhak Perlman, Idina Menzel, Auli'i Cravalho, Lindsey Stirling, Karen Clark Sheard, Mairead Nesbitt, Time for 3, Trevor Jackson, Geraldine Walther, from the Takács String Quartet. He has appeared in the globally televised Disney 50th anniversary special Harmonious and Christmas day parade. As a music educator Christian keeps a busy schedule working with music programs around the bay area, such as Tampa Metropolitan Youth Orchestra and Howard W. Blake Performing Art School.
